RecyclArt developed a strategic alliance with a Costa Rican non-profit, non-governmental organization in 2008. Asociación Terra Nostra is dedicated to environmental education, since 10 years, through the promotion of responsible waste management (reduce-reuse-recycle), and the protection of water resources. Its mission is to devise, develop and support programs that contribute to improve both the social and the natural environment, by encouraging greater public involvement in good environmental practices.

Terra Nostra has been organizing regular beach clean-up drives since 2002, mobilizing thousands of volunteers from hundreds of Costa Rican communities, in efforts to keep ocean coasts and river banks free of waste. The association is the Costa Rican representative of the International Coastal Cleanup Project, run by Ocean Conservancy.  ATN is a member of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

Asociación Terra Nostra encourages corporate social and environmental responsibility, establishing alliances with local businesses and multinational corporations on specific projects. Widely recognized nationally for the positive impact of its actions, many government bodies and non-governmental organizations also join efforts with the association. One such is the UNESCO Water and Education Program, merging Terra Nostra with the Water Education for Teachers International Foundation, in 2004.
